Below is part of an email the school system received thanking us for our participation in fundraising for Wreaths Across America!
Good evening all – Earlier today I received an email from Phillip East. Mr. East is with the Onslow Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation and serves as the Chairman of Fundraising for the local Wreaths Across America fundraising. He let me know the 9 schools (including the NHS JROTC program) who helped out with the fundraising were able to provide almost $7,000!! He said this “is a very impressive amount considering they did it in just 1 week.” He wanted to thank you and acknowledge the “assistance of the children and the wonderful staff of the centers of education.” He would also like to extend an invitation to your schools and staff to take part in the wreath laying ceremony to be held at noon on Saturday, December 14 at the Coastal State Veterans Cemetery. I told him I would share the invitation. Phillip M. East Onslow Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation Chairman of Fundraising WAA Congratulations on this outstanding effort to support this great and noble cause!! Below is a great opportunity for a parenting class offered by the Partnership for Children. I have taken it and it is wonderful!
I hope all our families had a Happy Thanksgiving! I did a little redecorating over the holiday...excited to try out these new sit spots with classes this month.
