3rd grade classes are going fishing for kindness this month! We are practicing using kind, genuine words to people, even if you may not be friends with them or know them that well. It is always a fun activity for all!
Mrs. Knipp's class and I will be reading a social story on manners this month and then enjoying several good manner songs that we will sing and dance to! We hope to practice our manners, specifically please and thank you at school with our friends!
This month 1st grade classes and I are reading A bad case of Tattle Tongue by Julia Cook. We will be putting what we learn to the test by identifying examples of what is tattling and what is reporting! We hope to leave remembering the 'Tattle Rules' in our classes everyday.
You have 15 minutes to build the tallest, free standing structure you can using only the materials I give you. Materials= a bag full of 10 balloons and an arms length of scotch tape. No other supplies or materials are allowed. In addition, you will have obstacles along the way that may limit your ability to do or use certain things...example only use one arm, sit on the floor/can't stand up, not allowed to talk. GO!
