Thanks to everyone who contributes to our first CHEW food drive! We collected over 800 items that will make an amazing difference in the lives of children and families at Parkwood! So many classes where close in our competition, but Mrs. McCauley and Ms. Johnson's second grade classes actually tied with 96 items each for first place! They will enjoy a Popsicle party next week!

Please check out this awesome video made by J. Michael Lunsford Middle School, 2013! The students and I are discussing...the reason behind the choice in the song, Brave, could 'Enough movement' happen at PWE?, and what can we do at PWE to foster a culture of kindness. I wanted something different and meaningful for my bulletin board this year...I saw something like this another school counselor had done on pinterest and I decided to give it a try! It is by far my favorite decoration in my room! Every student in our school has a piece of paper they designed on this board and I LOVE it! The picture doesn't do it justice, so please stop by and see it in person the next time you are on campus!
They might not be at school, but the Dedmond boys and I are wearing our blue! PWE Staff United against Bullying! Blue Shirt Day 2015!
NEHS students are bringing home parent letters today!
Deployment groups are meeting next week! We will have a have a kindergarten group, a 1st/2nd grade group, a 3rd grade group and a 4th/5th grade group. October guidance lessons begin next week with 4th and 5th grades! All lessons this month will focus on bullying/teasing/friendship/tolerance. October is Bully Prevention Month! In honor of that PWE will be particpating in Blue Shirt Day on Monday, October 5th ! |
