Ms. Moncrieffe's 5th grade students recently wrote letters to veterans as part of a project in ELA. These letters were delivered to the Veteran's Home in Kinston, NC by on of the School Liason officers from Camp Lejeune this past week. Below are pictures that were sent back to us!
Fifth Grade Students had their guidance lesson this week on friendship! Students and I discussed our way through a power point on friendship and then students developed posters to represent important aspects of friendship they wanted others to learn about! These posters will be on display around the school in the coming weeks. Below are some sample 4th and 5th grade posters. Second grade classes also had their guidance lesson this month on consideration! Froggy and Friends Puppet show taught froggy, and us that consideration means to stop and think about how your actions will impact others. There were some great connections to habits of mind in our discussion of consideration!
